The communications center alerted Stations 22, Engine 20, Ladder & Engine 28/32, Rescue 18, Tower 11, Engine 23 & 17 for the RIT assignment for a working residential fire with subjects trapped. 22-8 arrived to find a 2 story SFD with heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor. NCCPD was on scene prior to FD arrival and rescued 2 victims from the house. Squrt 20 made the response with a crew of 4 under command of Assistant Chief Maxwell. Squrt 20 arrived as the 2nd due engine and laid a 4" supply into 22-6. Crew ran the bumper line to the front door and was assigned to back up the initial fire attack team. Prior to entry, we were redirected to access the 2nd floor via ground ladder on the alfa/bravo side to assist with fire suppression. After fire was knocked down, our crew assisted with overhaul and mopping up hot spots. Squrt 20's crew operated for a couple hours before being placed back to service.
