The communications center alerted Sta 20 for an MVC with injuries. Rescue 22 was on the street and made the response as well. Rescue 20 made the response under command of Assistant Chief Maxwell with a crew of 4. Rescue 22 arrived 1st to find 2 patient's and a big rig leaking diesel fuel from the tank. Rescue 22's officer requested Hazmat 30 to respond to contain the leak. 2nd BLS was requested and A-22 made the response. 208-C (Maxwell) then took over command. Hazmat 30 and DNREC worked to transfer the fuel from the tank to their storage barrels. Once their task was complete, oil dry was thrown down and debris were swept up. Situation was placed under control authority of NC Ave Command. 208-C (Maxwell) had the "New Castle Ave" Command Units on scene: A-20, Rescue 20, Rescue 22, A-22, Hazmat 30, DNREC, DSP and fire police.
