The communication center alerted Station 20 to assist Salem County Station 7 (Deepwater) for an MVC with Entrapment. Rescue 20 made the response under command of FF/EMT Michael Maxwell with a crew of 4. Upon arrival of 7-9 Assistant Chief Winfield confirmed 1 car vs. tractor trailer with the driver still trapped in the vehicle. Rescue 7-9's crew with assistance from Rescue 20's crew removed the roof and driver's door to extricate the driver within 11 minutes of arrival. With the driver removed, Squad 5 along with Life Support 5 transported the patient to Christiana ER with head trauma. A-20 transported the passenger of the vehicle to Christiana ER for evaluation. The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured and the scene was turned over to the DRBA for investigation @1206 hrs. Asst Chief Winfield had the Command. 20 units on scene: A20 & R-20
